Chelsea's Bio

I have always been interested in alternative therapies, which were first introduced to me by my grandmother. I chose acupuncture specifically because it is it a physical modality that shows results almost immediately. Personally it has helped me through various health issues including back and muscle pain, menstrual disorders, and sleep issues.

I took my training at MacEwan University in Edmonton, AB.

During my studies we took a class trip to Beijing, China. It was amazing seeing acupuncture used in hospitals and the number of people the doctors treated in a day! Our group was able to study many interesting and unique Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques.

After graduating and completing my registration exams I went on a two month volunteer acupuncture trip to Nepal. As part of the Nepal Pain Relief foundation and together with a local Wellness Hospital, my two teammates and I treated people in remote villages who had been affected by the 2015 earthquake. I am grateful for this experience as it allowed me to provide healthcare services to many villagers, some of whom had never seen a doctor. After the experiences of this trip I would very much like to do another volunteer trip sometime in the future.

My goal is to help my clients achieve their best health and wellness through tailored treatments and support of their health goals.

I am registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia.
